Serengeti Malaria Prevention
Serengeti is one of the most isolated communities of Tanzania. Here, Malaria contributes to 40% of all diseases, and most of the Malaria related deaths are under age 5. This community is in immediate need of assistance.
The program aims to distribute 20,000 Long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) to the vulnerable population as a preventative measure. This will not only reduce mortality rate and improve the well being of Serengeti district but also significantly reduce the pressure on the existing healthcare system.
